Tonight's game might not have the fanfare that the NFL schedule makers had hoped for when the schedule was released, but don't tell fans of either team that this game is meaningless. The Seahawk fans are as passionate as any fans in the NFL, and Century Link Field is going to be rocking tonight. The Rams defense is very banged up, and very vulnerable to the run. The Seahawks will look to capitalize by pounding it down their throats with Beast Mode running back Marshawn Lynch.
For the Rams, Sam Bradford will be starting. The Seahawk defense is very stingy and very underrated. The Rams have been plagued with injuries this season, and they have not lived up expectations. Chris Long has fought through injuries, and has managed to have one of his best seasons as a pro, leading the Rams in sacks. If the Rams can stop Marshawn Lynch, and force Tavaris Jackson to beat them with his arm, they stand a chance. Although nothing at any point this season has shown us that they can step up when it matters.
I am picking the Seahawks to win this game, and hold onto their very slim playoff chances. They should be able to successfully pound the ball, and limit Tavaris Jackson's mistakes. If you have Marshawn Lynch on your fantasy team, you are sitting pretty. The game is not what we had all hoped it would be. But there is definitely intrigue to be found.
Prediction: Seahawks 24 Rams 14.
